Amravati Bureau :

Amravati, Prakash Kalbande, Vidarbha Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh candidate for Amravati Division Teachers' Constituency election presented a memorandum to Piyush Singh, Divisional Commissioner demanding to make it compulsory for officers and employees from Inspection squads which inspected the schools to undergo Covid-19 tests. The demand, made on the backdrop of Covid-19 tests, has been made compulsory for all the teachers and non-teaching staffers from the schools after schools were instructed to reopen from December 23. As per the guidelines, schools will allow only those teachers who have undergone Covid-19 tests and tested negative to enter school premises.

Interestingly, Education Department has also appointed inspection squads for monitoring the schools. These squads will visit various schools everyday. The Government hasn’t made Covid-19 tests compulsory for these squad members. This could pose a danger to the teachers and students.

Taking cognizance of this Prakash Kalbande has presented a memorandum to Piyush Singh demanding to make it compulsory to these squads to undergo tests. He also said that permission shouldn't be given to those squads who haven’t taken the Covid-19 tests. State President of Vidarbha Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh Shravan Barde and others were present on the occasion.
