Dishank Sachin Bajaj clinched the first Shanta A Walokar Memorial Under-15 Online Blitz Chess Competition that was organised by Power Chess Academy. The tournament was dominated by Nagpur players as they claimed the top four positions with five finding a place in top nine. The best girls section was swept away by city lasses as they claimed all six spots up for grabs. Bajaj emerged champion on better tiebreaker score as he and Nilay Kulkarni both ended up with 7.5 points from nine rounds. Bajaj garnered 43.75 tiebreak score while Kulkarni collected 40.75 to finish second.
 
The third place went to Ayush Ramteke who collected seven points from nine rounds. Suhan Deshpande, also from Nagpur, finished fourth. The best female player award went to Himani Jethwani followed by Rashi Wairagade, Krishna Taori, Shraddha Bajaj, Lakshita Rathod and Apamita Jagtap, all from Nagpur. On his way to title, Bajaj started with a draw against Shlok Chandra. He then set the tone with three straight wins over Jay Sawalakhe, Suhan Deshpande and Ayush Ramteke. His fine run was halted by Ojas Raut in the fifth round but Bajaj did not lose composure and recorded four straight wins.
 
His victories came against Nilay Kulkarni, Himani Jethani, Savinay Meshram and Parth Kannamar. Total 58 players from Amravati, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Wardha, Nagpur, and Akola participated. In all nine rounds were played. The time control given was 3 min plus 3 secs increment from move one to all players. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of IA Deepak Chavan and FA Umesh Panbude.
