Divyang players submit memorandum regarding neglect towards them

CITY’S divyang players and office-bearers of Maharashtra Cricket Association for Disabled submitted a memorandum regarding neglect towards them to the District Sports Officer on Tuesday, informs a press release issued by secretary Sanjay Bhoskar. The team handed over memorandum to DSO Avinash Pund, who is also holding the additional charge of Deputy Director.
 
In the strong-worded letter, the disabled players have said that their various demands are pending since 2014 and nobody from the government department is paying any heed to them. They have warned of severe agitation including hunger strike if their demands are not looked into in coming eight days. The letter also added that they have high hopes from Sports Minister (Sunil Kedar), who happens to be from the region.
 
Uttam Mishra, President, Maharashtra Cricket Association for Disabled led the delegation and among those who accompanied him include Bhoskar, Nutan Umredkar, Rahul Lekurwale, Anil Kotangle, Dhananjay Upasani, Sandip Gawai, Roshni Rinkey, Abhishek Thaware, Gurudas Raut, Janak Sahu, Lokesh Marghade, Damodar Ghangare, Mangala Adamkar, Arjun Vaidya, Mustafa Ansari and Irshad Mirza.
