“Surgery will soon resume at District Hospital Durg. In Covid era, due to technical reasons surgeries were stopped as a precaution, but now it has to be started again. Taking all precautions regarding Covid infection, the surgery will be done, make all arrangements for this,” instructed Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure during the review meeting of the Health Department.
 
The Collector said that the role of doctors and medical staff in controlling Covid has been excellent, but the danger of this has not yet gone. There is a need to work with utmost vigilance so that its danger is completely avoided and work can be done to make the district infection free. He said that due to Corona, a large number of staff had to provide special time for this work, this will have affected their routine work. This will naturally led to some hindrance in achieving the goal in other tasks. Now it is time to achieve these pending goals by taking further steps. Collector said that all kind of investigation should be restarted in the district hospital.
 
The Haat Bazaar scheme which was halted due to Corona infection can be restarted. This time, effective work has been done for dengue control, since its risk remains till the month of December, so be on alert mode throughout the time and continue the work of spraying medication. Collector said that maternal health is most important. Make a comprehensive survey of Mitanin and identify pregnant mothers for ANC. Along with this, anemia should also be investigated widely. The major cause of maternal mortality is related to anemia. Identify it and start treatment. Collector gave instructions to identify TB patients. He inquired about the work started from CSR in district hospital. He inquired about progress related to Oxygen Pipeline and Minor OT. He instructed to complete construction works within the stipulated time and also instructed to speed up the immunisation work of children. He said that the work of immunisation is very important so it must be completed in time.
