After the report of CBDT coming to fore in connection with raid carried out against close associates of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath before general elections 2019 and Election Commission directing Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer to lodge a case against some officers and others in alleged black money case, BJP State President V D Sharma has demanded that the Election Commission should also lodge an FIR against Kamal Nath as well. Sharma said that a letter sent by Election Commission to Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer contains names of some officers and few other persons (in alleged black money case).

Few businessmen are close to Kamal Nath and few are close relatives of Kamal Nath. Hence, Kamal Nath cannot escape unscathed. He was of the view that Election Commission should declare election of such person as null and void who tried to influence election through money power. Sharma alleged that huge money seized during IT raid before 2019 election or transaction of (unaccounted) money, it had direct link with Congress office and Kamal Nath. He told that CBDT report is serious one and hence no one should be spared.

“When role of Kamal Nath’s nephew Ratul Puri, his right hand Miglani and Kakkad is becoming clear, hence its natural that for whom they were working. Therefore, the Election Commission should also file an FIR against Kamal Nath,” he asserted. He hoped that law will do its work in transparent manner in the case and no officer or leader can escape. He suggested Kamal Nath that if he is having any moral left in him then he should seek apology from people of State and resign.
