The ace celebrity make-up artist from Itarsi, Dev Mehra, has been given the highest award in Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke award for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian cinema. With this Mehra has not only brought glory to Itarsi but the entire Madhya Pradesh. A resident of 12 Bungalow area in Itarsi, Mehra has always been fond of music and has recorded many a songs. He began his career as a singer under the guidance of musician and journalist Jeetendra Rajvanshi. But little did he know that his career would shine brighter if he worked as a make-up artist. Mehra has worked with biggest superstars of Bollywood industry, including Rajnikant, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Ranjeet and Amisha Patel. He has also worked as a make-up artist in blockbuster films, Raees, Zero, Dilbar and also in hit daily soaps like Balveer, Madhubala, Ishq Subhanallah, Sajan Rey Jhooth Mat Bolo, Doli Armano Ki and at many others.
