Chouhan transfers Rs 1,600 crores to 35.50 lakh farmers in Kisan Maha Sammelan
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred Rs 1,600 crores in the accounts of 35.5 lakh farmers of the state during the Kisan Maha Sammelan held at Raisen on Friday. The CM also inaugurated agriculture infrastructure works worth Rs 70 crore and nearly 2,000 fishermen and cattle farmers were provided with Kisan Credit Cards. Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel, Health Minister Prabhuram Choudhary and Member of Parliament VD Sharma were also present.
 
Chouhan said that farmers of the state are with PM Modi and extended greetings for implementing the new farm laws. He also said that the new farm laws have made farmers independent and has given them option to deal or to not. They can now sell their produce at their will, anywhere. Ending stock limit will lead to more procurement with farmers getting more benefit.
 
Benefits worth Rs 82,000 crore provided to farmers in MP: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said our Government has deposited Rs 8,640 crores as crop insurance premium of 2019 Kharif and Rabi in past 8 months. Rs 6,815 crore have been deposited in accounts of farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
 
Rs 35,000 crore were given as MSP procurement of wheat, paddy, gram and other crops and Rs 14,408 crore for electricity subsidy. In past 8 months Rs 82,422 crores have been deposited in accounts of farmers under different schemes. We are committed to make agriculture a business of profit, the CM said.
