Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat has directed to begin the work of beautification of Bhopal to make it the most beautiful State capital in the country. He instructed the top officials of departments concerned to start the work in a planned manner after discussing the roadmap. Collector Avinash Lavania, BMC Commissioner KVS Choudhary Kolsani, Bhopal Smart City CEO Abhishek Singh and officials of railway, forest, PWD and of NHI were also present during the meeting.
 
Kiyawat said that to make Bhopal one of the most beautiful capitals of the country, all the construction agencies should start work according to the work plan of 3 months-a-year and three years. He said that the work to be done with the departmental budget should begin soon and that he would send a proposal to the centre to release the funds sooner. The department-wise roadmap for the development and beautification work was also presented as per the action plan. The Divisional Commissioner said that the beautification and development works currently underway in the short term plan should be completed within a period of 3 months.
 
He directed to complete the work of 6 new under-construction transfer stations for garbage disposal and transportation soon. Reviewing the performance of the entire waste of Bhanpur Khanti and beautification work at the site, he directed to complete the work of beautification in a time-bound manner. Instructions were also given to start the work of setting up a charcoal manufacturing plant from the city’s waste. Kiyawat directed to make necessary improvements in the plan made for smooth and orderly traffic. In one year action plan, construction works of roads, rotary, flyovers, approved and under construction in the city will be completed. In the meeting, it was decided that all the works under the 3-year action plan should be completed within 2 years.
