The district administration continued its action against Mafia, and on Monday, Government land in Kalkheda village worth Rs 25 crore was freed from the clutches of five persons, who had sold the land using forged documents. Under the anti-Mafia drive launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, 87 houses, five shops, three godowns, 2 factories, and an illegally constructed hostel, were razed from the 12 acre encroached Government land.
 
FIR was also registered against five people for selling the government land to innocent people using forged documents. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Huzur Kshitiz Sharma, Tehsildar Manoj Shrivastava, CSP TT Nagar Umesh Tiwari, Additional SP Abhishek Anand, BMC and police officials were present during the action. In this joint action, 12 acres land worth Rs 25 crore in Kalkheda village under Huzur Tehsil was freed from encroachment. SDM Kshitiz Sharma told ‘The Hitavada’ that the Government land in Kalkheda village was illegally occupied by noted criminals.
 
The SDM added that using the forged documents of the land, illegal construction was done and around 87 houses, five shops, three godowns and some incomplete constructions were razed using JCB machines during the action. The estimated worth of the encroached land was around Rs 25 crores, said Sharma. FIRs were lodged under several sections of IPC against Chandar Patidar, Tularam, Raju Jangde, Shyam, Chandu Khan and Ishrar Khan for selling government land. District Collector Avinash Lavania has issued strict instructions to all the SDMs to ensure that there is no encroachment upon the government land in the district.
