Lokayuka Police nab DGM of Power Discom in Biaora for bribe

Raids his luxurious house in Bhopal 
 
A team of Bhopal Lokayukta Police arrested Deputy General Manager (Operation and Maintenance) Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (Central Power Discom) red-handed when he was accepting bribe in his office in Biaora in Rajgarh district on Monday.
 
A separate team of Lokayukta Police also raided accused house in Bhopal. Lokayukta Police Officer Salil Sharma said that a complaint was received against Deputy General Manager, Central Power Discom, Ritesh Shrivastava that he is demanding bribe of Rs 30,000 to pass six files related to installation of transformers of farmers under OYT scheme. Complainant (electricity contractor) Surendra Gurjar said that accused officer Ritesh Shrivastava was demanding bribe by the average of Rs 5,000 per file. The complaint was lodged at SP Lokayukta office on December 17.
 
In the meantime, accused officer took Rs 15,000 from complainant on December 17 itself. Finally, Bhopal Lokayukta Police laid the trap and arrested accused officer Ritesh Shrivastava while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000. Accused officer Ritesh Shrivastava lives in Old Bhopal. A separate team of Bhopal Lokayukta Police also raided accused house in Bhopal. Investigating officers found that accused has luxurious house and even a small bar inside his house.
