MP riders bag eight medals in Junior National Equestrian Championship

THE riders of Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy showcased their brilliant performance in the ongoing Junior National Equestrian Championship at Army Polo Riding Centre, New Delhi. The team bagged eight medals, including three gold, three silver and two bronze. On this achievement, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated the medallists and praised their excellent performances. She encouraged the players to perform better in the upcoming events.
 
Academy’s Bholu Parmar participated in the Group One Jumping personal event and bagged a gold and a bronze medal. The team’s equestrians Arjun Malviya, Parmar, Jyoti and Mo Hamza Akil bagged a gold medal in team event of Group One Jumping event. The players of the academy Arjun Singh, Avik and Manya bagged a gold medal in the group two dressage team event. While in the individual event, Arjun Singh won a bronze medal. Parmar bagged a silver medal in the individual event of the Group One Dressage event held on second day of competition. Parmar and Jyoti bagged a silver medal in the team event.
 
Singh and Krishna Joshi bagged silver medal in the Group Two Jumping team event. “A total of 14 riders, including 9 boys and 5 girls, of the academy are participating in the Junior National Equestrian Championship being held in Delhi till December 30,” said Captain Bhagirath, chief coach of Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy while talking to ‘The Hitavada’.
