Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant paid tributes to veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh Motilal Vora, who passed away in New Delhi on Monday. Dr Mahant recalled his memories with Motilal Vora and said that he used to call him ‘Babuji’. “Motilal Vora was like my father. I always received affection like my father from him and taught the nuances of legislative assembly and Lok Sabha in politics,” Dr Mahant recalled. Motilal Vora was always adamant on cleanliness.
 
He did not like dirt at all in his political life and social life. He always liked to remain clean in image and personal character. Motilal Vora was a national figure, that the people of Chhattisgarh are proud of and they must take a pledge for the development of the state following the path of Motilal Vora, he added. “Babuji is not with us today. But his thoughts and the path shown by him have always inspired me. I pay a tearful tribute on his demise,” Speaker Dr Mahant said.
