Cabinet granted administrative approval of Rs 1,706.1 crore for ground water-to-irrigation scheme under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (Har Khet ko Pani). State’s share in this will be over Rs 682.40 crore. Under this scheme, five districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Mandla, Dindori, Shahdol, Umaria and Singrauli, will be selected and borewells will be constructed to provide irrigation facility in 62,135 hectare area. Cabinet approved creation of 30 posts of male nurses by dedicating 34 vacant posts of Pharmacist Grade-2 of Jail Department.
 
This will enhance medical facility in jails. Quick and effective treatment will be provided to prisoners. Cabinet decided on structure and formation of Madhya Pradesh State Backward Class Commission. Five non-government members will be appointed for having knowledge of issues related to backward classes and their work. One member will be appointed as Chairman of the Commission and other members as Deputy Chairman. Chairman and at least two other members shall belong to the Backward Class. A woman member will also be appointed.
