MP’s Palash Samadhiya bags gold in Senior National E-Kata C’ship

 Martial Arts Karate Academy player Palash Samadhiya who bagged gold medal in Senior National E-Kata Championship.

The day-boarding player of Madhya Pradesh State Karate Academy Palash Samadhiya showcased excellent performance in Senior National E-Kata Championship organised by World Karate and Asian Karate Federation and bagged a gold medal. Palash stood first with 25.1 points in the final match of the championship. Andhra Pradesh player M Ramesh Babu finished second with 23.9 points. Karate Association of India awarded Palash Samadhiya a cash award of Rs 10,000. For the first time Senior National E-Kata Championship was organised amid covid-19. Total 24 players from various states participated in the championship. One player was selected from each State, where Palash Samadhiya represented Madhya Pradesh.
 
Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia lauded brilliant performance of Karate Academy player Palash Samadhiya and congratulated him on winning gold medal. Sports Director Pawan Jain said, “Palash Samadhiya has proved himself an outstanding player by winning gold medal in the championship.”
 
Notably, Palash Samadhiya who hails from Shivpuri has been undergoing training as a day-boarding player for karate sports under the guidance of Academy Coach Jayadev Sharma at Martial Arts Karate Academy since July 2013. Eklavya Awardee 2017 Palash Samadhiya has won seven medals in international karate championships including four gold, two silver and one bronze. He has bagged 29 medals including 22 gold, four silver and three bronze in national competitions so far.
