Fire broke out in a wine shop on Hamidia road in Bhopal on late Wednesday night damaging goods worth Rs 50 lakh. Three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to control the fire but it took more than an hour as the fire had spread all over the shop, resulting in damage of all the liquor kept in the shop.
 
In the preliminary reports, a short circuit was told the reason to start the fire, however, the police have lodged a case of arson and have begun investigating the matter. According to Mangalwara Police Station, fire broke out the wine shop at around 11:40 pm on Wednesday. Three fire fighting vehicles were deployed to the spot from Fatehgarh, Bogda Bridge and Kabadkhana fire stations.
 
The fire fighting team had to break the shutter to control the fire but until then all the liquor kept at the shop was burnt. However, after nearly an hour of work, fire personnel managed to control the fire. According to the police, the loss of about Rs 50 lakh is being reported by the company so far, but it is not certain. The loss will be known only after the entire record in the shop is examined.
