Municipal Commissioner, Anoop Kumar Singh, on Thursday, took a meeting of senior officials and reviewed the progress of works under various housing schemes. During the meeting he sought detailed information about houses constructed under BSUP and Rajiv Awas Yojana and the installments paid by the beneficiaries. During the meeting senior officials informed the Municipal Commissioner that more than 4200 houses have been constructed under abovementioned schemes at Brajmohan Nagar, behind MLB school, Maharajpur, Kariyapathar, Katiyaghat, Gauraiyaghat and Garha Purwa.

 

The beneficiaries are living in the houses. They informed that the process of realizing beneficiaries’ share is going on at slow pace. Expressing displeasure over snail pace recovery, Municipal Commissioner Singh directed all Assistant Revenue Inspectors to expedite recovery process and ensure recovery of maximum share from the beneficiaries. He also set target for concerned senior officials.

 

The Municipal Commissioner also warned senior officials of strict disciplinary actions and salary deduction for any negligence in the important work. He also directed to cut five-day salary of as many as five Assistant Revenue Inspectors for finding laxity in recovery during review. Singh has also appealed the beneficiaries to deposit the amount of their share or else the houses allotted to them would be seized. Likewise, the civic body would also disconnect water connection of the houses before seizure of houses.
