Mana Police on Thursday arrested six men, including three minors, on charges of theft after breaking into the homes and shops. The accused have been caught in three separate cases of thefts. According to Mana Police, applicant Dineshwar Sahu lodged a complaint that his neighbour Kishore Patel had called him up to inform that the lock at the door of his home was broken on November 30, 2020. As he reached home, Sahu found that someone had stolen cash and silver ornaments from his almirah. So, an FIR under Section 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code was registered on his complaint.
 
The second complaint was lodged by Dipesh Thakur, who had reported that someone entered his home after breaking the lock at the front door of his home and stole silver jewellery and cash. So, the Mana Police registered another FIR under Section 457 and 380 of IPC. In the third case, applicant Khemraj Dahariya reported that someone had broke the shutter lock of his mobile shop and stole mobile phones and cash. Another case under same Sections of IPC was registered. Mana Police team launched an investigation.
 
They interrogated several people and examined the CCTV footages of the area. Officials also kept close eye on habitual offenders. During the course of investigation, investigative officers got hand on crucial leads, which led them to accused Loknath Pal, Chandrahas Sahu, Vinay Diwan and three minor delinquents. Police also recovered stolen jewellery, laptop, seven mobile mobile phones worth Rs 1.32 lakh from them.
