Supare leaves a huge void in wrestling field

PAYING rich tributes to the departed soul, members of district wrestling associations have termed the untimely demise of Kamptee Taluka Wrestling Association Secretary Deepchand Supare as a huge void in wrestling fraternity. Supare, who was 65, was very active and presented a thrilling demonstration of various Indian martial art forms this Shiv Jayanti.
 
He was an expert of lathi kathi, dand patta and sword wielding. Himself a Nagpur University title winning wrestler, Supare trained many wrestlers while serving as vastaad at Nibhaji Vastaad Akhadaa in Kamptee. His exploits on the akhada earned him a job at defence company. He leaves behind two sons and a daughter. Supare was very active socially and was on board of various organisations. Wrestling association’s Anil Admane, Dilip Itankar, Prabhakar Pawde, Nilesh Raut were among those who paid tributes to the departed soul. The last rites were performed in Kamptee on Wednesday. S
