Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Behari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary near Shaurya Smarak Square in Bhopal on Friday. Chief Minister also viewed the photo exhibition related to Atal Behari Vajpayee’s visits to Bhopal.

Chief Minister said Vajpayeeji was a remarkable political leader. He ruled the hearts of crores of people. He was not just an individual, but an institution. He was hard worker, skilled organiser, administrator, orator, poet, writer and journalist. Above all, he was a great human.

He was a person who embraced even strangers and was loved by everyone. His contribution in the creation of a new India is incomparable.

CM said that statue of Atal Behari Vajpayee has been installed in heart of State capital. It is not just a statue but is a venture to display the philosophy of his life. Every effort will be made to display Atalji’s ‘Jivan Darshan’ here. This place will work as a beacon and will be a source of inspiration. The statue of Atal Behari Vajpayee is 12-feet high and weighs 1700 kg.
