‘Pickating’ – the first unique skating event in the state capital, where 20 professional skaters went across the streets of Bhopal to promote garbage-free campaign, and picked plasting garbage along the way was held here on Sunday. The main objective of this event, organised by Relive Eco Foundation, was to make people aware of waste management. Pickating means picking and skating, the concept of pickating was given by Zeeshan Khan, the co-founder of Relive Eco Foundationand was recently awarded the title of Eco Man of India.
 
Khan told ‘The Hitavada’ that they want to connect people to the environment in an innovative way, so that people can interactively learn about waste disposal, recycling, waste management, etc. The method is proving to be very effective, Because of which the younger generation is connecting with us and helping in environmental protection along with fitness, he added.
 
Khan further said that they will try to take this concept across the globe so that more and more people can become aware. The skaters who participated in this program were national coaches, national trainers and state level players. Deputy Commissioner Vishal Singh. flagged off the skaters.
