Slum Soccer pays tribute to Maradona

SLUM Soccer India, a venture of Krida Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur recently paid tribute to Argentina football legend Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away last week. Founder of Slum Soccer Prof Vijay Barse, along with his team of coaches, staff and players paid glowing tributes to the departed soul. The remembrance programme was held at organisation’s main campus at Bokhara. Maradona, one of the greatest sportsmen of the world, passed away at the age of 60. His Hand of God goal knocked England out of the 1986 World Cup.
 
Diego passed away due to a heart attack following an operation on a brain blood clot. A minute’s silence was observed to pay respect. Prof Barse spoke about the football legend and said how Maradona grew up facing hardships. Barse asked all the players to keep working hard even during hardships as success comes to only those who sweat hard. Several players, officials were also present during the condolence meeting.
