Though Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) in Madhya Pradesh has started night safari about three days back but on Tuesday a video went viral on social media that showed a tiger attacking a tourists Gypsy after being irked with the headlight of vehicle. According to sources, tourists were showing blue light on tiger during night safari to click photographs and videos. Meanwhile, tiger got irritated with the light and attacked the Gypsy. Forest officials said that this comes under Wildlife Protection Act and no one is allowed to disturb the wildlife with such activities.
 
Officials said that tourists are not allowed to show direct torch or light to the big cats and there are certain terms, conditions for night safari. Bandhavgarh National Park started night safari in its three ranges from December 25. After the video went viral on social media in which tiger attacked the tourist Gypsy, social activists started raising voice against the night safari.
 
They said that Forest Department should take action in this regards and immediately roll back the order of night safari. Social activists demanded to stop night safari for safety of animals as well as human being. In the meantime, the reserve Field Director Vincent Raheem said that the video being circulated on social media is not of Bandhavgarh. He refused to accept the incident and said that this incident was of somewhere else but not of Madhya Pradesh.
