JMC restricts free entry into parks

The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has restricted free entry of visitors at Dumna Nature Reserve, Bhawartal Garden, Shailparna Udyan and Gulauatal (Park). Now it would charge entry free at the places. Garden Officer, Aditya Shukla informed that JMC Administrator, B Chandrashekhar and Municipal Commissioner, Anoop Kumar Singh have issued an order regarding the same.
 
Accordingly, children up to 5 years of age would be given free entry in abovementioned places. He said the JMC administration has fixed entry fee of Rs 20 per visitor at Dumna Nature Park, Rs 10 per person in Bhawartal, Shailparna and Gulauatal (park). Similarly, it has fixed stand charge of Rs 20 for two wheelers and Rs 50 for four-wheelers as well as for cycling facility. Shukla said Rs 50 would be payable to the person running own bicycle and Rs 100 per two hours for the person who runs a bicycle of the JMC. He said permission would be given to run cycle in group, for that a separate fee would have to be paid.
 
For pre-weeding, birthday, personal photo shoot and film shooting etc, Rs 2,000 would be charged per day. The Garden Officer further informed that morning walk would be allowed at Shailparna Udyan from 6 am to 10 am. A fee of Rs 300 would be charged for issuing monthly pass. Senior citizens would be provided free entry for the walk. Same fee structure would be applied for Gulaua pond park.
