From January 1, FASTag card on-line payments system is now mandatory for all vehicles for paying the toll charges while crossing toll plazas across all national highways. Under the Central Government’s direction Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank Limited (NNSBL) has introduced FASTag card facility at all its branches. NNSBL is the first co-operative bank in Vidarbha to provide FASTag card facility. For providing this facility to four-wheeler owners, the bank has received permission from National Payment Corporation of India. In order to implement the facility, the bank has signed memorandum of understanding with One Pay Solutions Private Limited.

 

The bank will provide the FASTag card to customers from their savings and current accounts. The customers have to provide information like vehicle registration number, vehicle engine and chassis number. The bank will link this information of the vehicle with their respective account wherein they can pay toll on-line with help of FASTag. Nagarik Sahakari Bank Limited has remarkably reduced the interest on housing and vehicle loans. Under the revised rates, the bank will offer 8 per cent interest on housing loan and 8.95 per cent on vehicle loan.
