NAGPUR’S long-distance runner Ravindra Tarare continued to find a spot on the podium and another adventure enthusiast Prasad Deshpande joined him this time as the duo made a mark in the Singapore 26Virtual cross country race. Tarare has been impressive in the series of 26Virtual and finished second in his 60-64 year category to bag a silver medal. Ironman Tarare completed the 10km run in 52 minutes and 37 seconds.
 
The event was won by fellow countryman Jai Bhagwan who finished his run in 48 minutes and 14 seconds. Romania’s Radu Neagu took 54 minutes and 52 seconds for the bronze. Competing in the 4.2 km race in the 50-55 age group, Deshpande won a bronze by completing the race in 25 minutes and 24 seconds. For their commendable achievements, Tarare and Deshpande were congratulated by NIS swimming coach Sanjay Batwe, Atul Tapase, Dr Rajesh Rewatkar, Arvind Mahakalkar, Gugal, Sandeep Vaidya, Shrikant Uke, Vilas Fale, Sanjay Fartode, Sanjay Fadke, Sanjay Dharamthok, Krida Bharati’s Prasanna Hardas, Dr Anil Karwande, Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Sanjay Lokhande, Shrushendra Dakhne and others.
