Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that we will give a new identity to Madhya Pradesh by enriching the culture of harmony, new vision and by changing the existing system. In the coming time, our State will be compared with the leading states of the country, not backward one. Kamal Nath was inaugurating the Amarkantak Narmada Mahotsav 2020. The Minister for Tribal Welfare Omkar Singh Markam, Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Kamleshwar Patel, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh were present on the occasion.

 Madhya Pradesh encompasses various cultures: The Chief Minister said that the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh comprises different cultures. The different cultures of Malwa Nimar, Mahakoshal, Vindhya region have a strong sensitivity of mutual harmony, brotherhood and love. This is the characteristic of our country. Indian culture is a culture that unites everyone under one flag, this is the greatness of India, which astonishes the whole world. We have to further strengthen the culture of harmony. We have to defeat the forces engaged in weakening it. Kamal Nath further mentioned that the Narmada Mahotsav being organised for the first time in Amarkantak will be continued in future too. It will be developed as an ideal tourist destination to bring change in the life of the people of entire region and to provide employment to the people. Exhibited intention and policy of working in 10 and half months: Kamal Nath said that the 13-month-old Government has exhibited its intention and policy of working in just 10 and half months tenure. Our aim is the comprehensive development of the State. We want to make a MP, where happiness and prosperity prevail in the lives of people of every section. The Government aims to ensure that the state has a new working culture, government and administration should have new vision and needy get the benefits of the government schemes. We have taken fundamental decisions for changing the system.
 
Number of industries closed was greater in last 15 years: The Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the biggest challenge before us today is to bring investment and to create a trustworthy environment for investment in the State. In the last fifteen years, the number of industries closed was greater than those set up in the state, owing to the lack of trust. The Chief Minister said that in the last one year, a new investment environment has been created in the state. Investment will increase our economic activity and besides providing employment to our youth, we will be able to give them an opportunity for business. Beginning of transformation in agriculture sector with loan waiver Chief Minister Nath said that we have initiated efforts to make the agriculture sector progressive and prosperous. We have started with the loan waiver of 21 lakh farmers under the Mukhya Mantri Jai Kisan Wrin Maafi Yojana. We will change the tradition in which the farmer is born in debt and dies under the burden of debt.
 
The Chief Minister said that the second phase of the loan waiver scheme has begun. The Government is committed to waive off loans upto Rs 2 lakh of all the eligible farmers of the State. Will not let you feel disappointed: Citing the demand of Rs 300 crore by MLA Phundelal Marko for the development of Amarkantak, including region, Kamal Nath said that no stone will be left unturned in development of the area. He further said that the people of this region area will not be disappointed. The Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Narmada Prasad Prajapati stated that the Chief Minister has honoured the tradition of Sanatan Dharma by starting Amarkantak Narmada Mahotsav. He urged that along with the conservation of wildlife, a zoo should be established here. The District Incharge and Minister for Mineral Resources, Pradeep Jaiswal informing about the development works done during the last one year, said that efforts are being made for conservation of tribal culture and traditions along with making youth competent to help them getting employment. Jaiswal expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister that on his initiative Rs 1 crore has been allocated to organise Amarkantak Narmada Mahotsav for the first time. Chief Minister performs Kanya Pujan: The Chief Minister performed Kanya Pujan of 5 girls and under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana gave Rs 1,500 each as incentive to 100 girls of the district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured sants with shawl and shreephal. The Chief Minister was greeted by tying Baiga Turban, Gudum Jacket and Viranmala as per tribal traditions. He was presented idol of Maa Narmada crafted from Bijapuri wood craft and the Gond paintings as mementoes. On the occasion, the Chief Minister launched products Kodo grain rice, Narmada origin water and Sanjivini Gulkabili essence produced by the tribal group.
