Continuing a special campaign against listed criminals involved in illegal trade of liquor, fire arms and gambling activities police have nabbed 15 wanted criminals and booked several anti-social elements, on Sunday. In the campaign, police have booked 144 persons under section 107/116 of Cr P C while 18 accused were nabbed Section 110 of Cr P C and seven arrested under Section 151 of Cr P C Similarly, three wanted criminal of bailable and 12 non-bailable warrantees were apprehended in different crime cases.
 
Police have registered separate cases under Section 34 of Excise Act and arrested 25 accused and seized 34-litres country-made liquor and 344-quarters of country made liquor from them. Police have nabbed 20 gamblers and seven bookies of Satta and seized cash of Rs 6,385 from them.
 
It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) police have started the campaign to put-up vigilant check on illegal trade and transportation of liquor, trade of fire arms and gambling following the strict enforcement of law and order arrangements under the supervision of Additional SP (South), Dr Sanjeev Uike, Additional SP (Rural), Shivesh Singh Baghel and CSPs. The special campaign will be continued in coming days to maintain law and order arrangements in the district.
