The forecast has indicated that the citizens would have to face cold weather during the week
 
 
Cold waves blowing constantly from North are adding chillness in the weather. Due to chilly winds both day and night temperature is oscillating under normal range. Following icy winds, the minimum temperature on Sunday plummets to 7.4 degree Celsius. The northern winds blowing with speed of 5 to 6 Kmph have plummeted the mercury and keeping it below normal range during day and night. People have to drape themselves with woolen cloths to counter the bitter cold. On Sunday, the city recorded minimum temperature of 7.4 degree Celsius, which was minus four degree to the normal range.
 
The biting cold is forcing people to remain inside their houses after evening hours. City streets get deserted after 9 pm. The changed weather conditions are proving tough to people of poor section as they work late in the night and spend chilly nights with the help of self-arranged bonfires. The civic body has stopped providing bonfire at public places. Lack of bonfire is proving hard to rickshaw pullers, auto-rickshaw drivers who have to spend nights in want of passengers at Railway Stations and Bus stands.
 
The minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 7.4 degree Celsius, which was four degree below to normal range while the maximum temperature was recorded at 22.5 degree Celsius, which was also minus four degree Celsius to normal temperature. The humidity in the morning was 81 per cent while in the evening it was 45 per cent. Last year the minimum temperature on the day was 10.2 degree Celsius and maximum was 21.2 degree Celsius. Spokesman of Weather Department informed that the northern winds may continue to blow and the mercury would remain below normal range. The forecast has indicated that the citizens would have to face cold weather during the week.
