 Police seized prohibited vaccines from a medical store in Adhartal.

Adhartal police nabbed two accused involved in illegal trade of prohibited vaccines and seized 300 banned injections from them, on Monday. The accused have been identified as Bilal Ahmed (35), resident of Ahmed Nagar, Katra and Vicky Choudhary (25), resident of Sarkari Kuan, Prem Sagar. SHO of Adhartal police station, Ziya Ul Haq informed that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh police have started a special campaign against illegal trade and transportation of narcotic substances.
 
During the campaign, Crime Branch received information that a chemist named Bilal Ahmed was selling prohibited medicines and vaccines from his Shifa Medical Store situated Ambedkar Colony. Taking a serious note on the information, police plotted a policeman for purchasing 300 injections which are used for addiction and banned for selling without prescription from doctor. The chemist said for providing the required stock of vaccines and told him for waiting sometime.
 
Police team kept vigilant eye on the suspect and trapped the accused when a man reached at medical stop for delivery of prohibited vaccines. Police have seized 250 Lupijesic and 50 Avil vaccines from the accused. Adhartal police have registered a case under Section 328 of the IPC and other relevant sections of Drugs and Cosmetics Act while further investigations are underway. The accused were apprehended with active working of police team comprised of Crime Branch’s Head Constable, Pramod Pandey, Constables, Ramgopal, Mahendra and Rammilan.
