Staff Reporter :

Assembly’s much-awaited Budget Session is likely to start from March 16 and would continue till April 13. Assembly Secretariat is yet to issue notification in this regard but it is being believed that notification of Budget Session may be issued by Thursday. Congress government is likely to come under barrage of allegations as opposition is armed with number of burning issues.

The slap incident of Rajgarh (wherein Rajgarh Collector Nidhi Nivedita slapped a demonstrating BJP worker) is going to echo in budget session. Already Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava had shown his intent of raising this issue with full strength on the floors of assembly. Along with this, lynching incident of Dhar district is also going to reckon as opposition BJP is all set to put government in dock over this shocking incident. In this incident, mob incited by some villagers attacked six farmers with stone, lathi etc, killing one of them on spot and leaving other five injured. Besides, there are other many issues like farmers’ problem, law and order, women’s safety issue etc which would give harrowing time to the Government on the floor of the House.

Guest teachers are sitting on strike for more than a month in State capital, demanding their appointment and regularisation. Meanwhile, suicide committed by a guest teacher in Umaria has already kicked up a political storm as BJP has accused government of responsible for pitiable plight of guest teachers. Government knew well that it will have to face volley of charges hence it is preparing over how to repel the charges to be levied by Opposition on floor of the Assembly. In this Budget Session, Government may try to get approval for much-spoken Right to Water bill.
