Women Congress workers demonstrated against hike in rates of domestic gas cylinders in State capital on Thursday. They demanded that central government should withdraw the increased rates of LPG cylinders as common people are already in troubled waters due to inflation. Women’s Congress workers were led by Mandavi Chouhan. Demonstrating Women’s Congress workers raised slogans against Central Government and censured its decision to increase the rates of domestic gas cylinders.
 
Demonstrating Women Congress Workers were carrying placards in their hands and one of the women carried gas cylinder. Centre increased cooking gas cylinder price by Rs 144 per cylinder following spurt in bench global rates of fuel. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ Mandavi Chouhan told that Modi government in its second term is embarrassing women folk by increasing the cooking gas cylinder rates.
 
In the light of increased LPG rates, women from poor and middle class segment, will find hard in maintaining the kitchen budget. She added that earlier Modi government promised to reduce inflation but the kind rates of petrol, LPG are being increased it seems that there is going to be no relief from inflation and in the end point, women would be at receiving end. She added that hike in LPG rate has come as a sting to poor women and they would be once again going to use ‘Chulha’ to cook food for family.
