NSUI said that Vice Chancellors of these universities should be suspended as they are involved in scams.
Last week on February 11, NSUI staged protest against the Vice Chancellor of MP Bhoj (Open) University. The demonstrating students were demanding resignation of the Vice Chancellor Jayant Sonwalkar alleging corruption and financial irregularities. They also burnt effigy of the VC Sonwalkar and alleged that he has appointed few employees beyond rules and also regularised some contractual employees. They said VC has released contract to particular persons without tender process which is against the rules.

NSUI alleged that VC Sonwalkar is pressurising the students for commission based registration in private institutes. They said that protest against the VC Sonwalkar will continue untill Government initiates enquiry against him.
They said that VC has made several financial scams and providing benefit to his close ones.
