Over 600 farmers take part in Kisan Mela expo at JNAU

EXTENSIVE agriculture implement and machine exhibition at Kisan Mela opened at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU) , on Friday. A grand exhibition is being organised under the All India Agriculture Implements and Machinery Project, Indian Council of Agriculture Research at the Department of Agriculture Implements and Machine Power Department. In this mela, over 600 farmers from adjoining villages have participated and taken updates about recent updates.

Vice Chancellor Professor Pradeep Kumar Bisen inaugurated the Kisan Mela. He appealed farmers to encourage others to adopt agriculture machines in farming. He asked farmers to adopt allied activities with farming so that their income could be increased.
 
Head Dr Atul Shrivastava welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Dr Dheerendra Khare, Registrar Ashok Kumar Ingle, DRS Dr P K Mishra, DES, Dr OM Gupta, DI, Dr Abishek Shukla, DF, Dr Deep Pehalwan, Dean College of Agriculture Engineering Dr R K Nema, Dean Jabalpur, Dr R M Sahu, DSW, Dr Amit Sharma and other agriculture scientists and students were present.
 
In the exhibition various implements for different crops and conditions were exhibited for different crops. In second session the scientific symposium was organised. Dr Atul Shrivastava, Dr Avinash Gautam and Dr Amit Jha addressed the farmers about agriculture implements. In organising the fair, Professor R K Dubey, Vijay Jharia, employees and staff of departments extended valuable contribution.
