STF arrests two for hunting wild animals, one absconding

Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two persons on the charges of killing wild animals and in connection with sale and purchase of cartridges. One more accused is wanted in case and cops are trying to arrest him. As many as 520 cartridges have been confiscated from one of the held accused.

The names of held accused are Salman Ali and Irfan. The name of third accused is Amir, who is on the run. STF said that it was from long time that news related to hunting of wild animals was pouring out. STF was keeping a close watch on suspected persons allegedly involved in hunting practices. Following the input, STF arrested Salman Ali (30) from a Volvo bus which was plying between Bhopal-Jaipur. He was arrested along with 520 cartridges on February 6.

In the interrogation, Salman Ali informed that he got cartridges from Jaipur resident Irfan and he was supposed to deliver the consignment to Moti Masjid area resident Amir.
 
STF collected information about Amir and obtained search warrant from court. STF armed with team of Forest Department and forensic expert, searched the house and farm house of Amir. In this search, skin of wild animals and meat of suspected wild animal kept inside the refrigerator was confiscated. Blood stains and animal hairs were also found in dickey of his car.
 
In the album seized from Amir’s house, Amir is seen with killed wild animals such as deer, cheetal etc. STF believes that Amir has hunted down numerous wild animals.
 
The held two accused informed that the 520 cartridges were supposed to be used in illegal hunting of wild animals. STF has registered case against Salman Ali, Irfan and Amir.
 
In the meantime, Forest Department is separating taking action in connection with meat and skin of wild animals seized from Amir’s farm house.
