DGP dedicates Samvedna Ka

Director General of Police (DGP) D M Awasthi on Saturday dedicated ‘Samvedna Kaksh’ within the campus of Azad Chowk police station in Raipur. It has been notices that women in distress hesitate to visit police station for highlighting their plights. To ensure a safe and free environment, where they could share their problems and complaints, Chhattisgarh Police started constructing ‘Samvedna Kaksh’, a room, in campus of police stations. As a part of the innovative campaign, ‘Samvedna Kaksh’, a room for women and children, was dedicated by DGP at Azad Chowk police station.
 
‘Samvedna Kaksh’ is equipped with toys for children, potable waters, sanitary pad vending machine and other facilities for women. On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shaikh Arif Husen, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Prafull Kumar Thakur, ASP (Rural) Tarkeshwar Patel, Azad Chowk City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Sunil Sharma, Civil Lines CSP Nasar Siddiqui and others were present.
