What impacts human senses more -- a wonderful voice or a beautiful sound of a musical instrument? This was the question that remained unanswered in the minds of the music-lovers who attended the first day of C R Vyas Memorial Music Festival. The members of the audience could not decide whether it was the Sitar performance of Chintan Katti that struck a chord with them, or a matured voice of veteran vocalist Alka Deo-Marulkar that lingered on in their memory-box of melodies. The two-day C R Vyas Memorial Music Festival organised jointly by Saptak-Nagpur and Lalit Kala Nidhi-Mumbai started on Saturday at Kavikulguru Kalidas Hall of Persistent Systems in IT Park, Gayatri Nagar. Pt Satish Vyas, veteran Santoor maestro, graced the occasion with his presence.
