Commissioner, Public Relations, P Narhari inaugurating Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge Competition held at Hotel Management Institute on Saturday.

Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge Competition was inaugurated by Commissioner, Public Relations, P Narhari at Hotel Management Institute on the other day. The main objective of the competition was to make youths aware towards good Indian food, hygiene in cooking, presentation and feeling of freshness and to collect old cooking methods.
 
The programme was organised by Everest Spices and Better Kitchen magazine. As many as 25 teams belonging to different institution of Gwalior, Indore, Rewa, Khajuraho, Jabalpur and Bhopal were participated in the competition. Students including Yash Sahu and Vineet Bhoyar of Turmeric IHM, Bhopal emerged winners in the Culinary Challenge Competition. First runner-up winners were Harpreet Ahuja and Faizan Ansari of Meat-Masala SIHM, Indore team and second runner up were Medhavi Joshi and Mrityunjay Chouhan of Tea-Masala team of SIHM, Indore. Team Kashmiri Lal was given consolation prize.
 
Besides, immature chef category’s first prize was given to Samar Singh Gaur, second prize to Dr Babita Saxena and third prize to Smita Saxena. Chef Akash Chattopadhyay, Ravish Mishra and Siddharth were in the jury to assess the participants who participated in Culinary Challenge. Better Kitchen Company’s Virendra Bhargava, Arshad of Everest Spices and Principal, Hotel Management Institution, Dr Anand Kumar Singh were also present on the occasion.
