The Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted for getting admission to MBA evoked tremendous response from the candidates. Meanwhile, the CET Cell of Maharashtra Government has extended the date for applying for CET to February 22. The previous date was February 15. The online application registration for the computer-based management entrance test conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (MAH MBA/MMS-CET 2020) can be made till February 22.

 

There are about 36,000 seats in MBA course all over Maharashtra. Till now, the number of applications received by the CET cell is 1,16,374, which is almost four times more than the actual seats. In engineering and polytechnic, the condition is very poor. As compared to that, MBA is getting good response. According to Dr Ashwini Purohit, Director of G S College of Commerce, Economics and Management, there are very less jobs after degree engineering. Obviously, students are taking MBA degree to go for opportunities in the fields other than engineering. This is probably the one important reason why MBA admissions is getting good response, added Dr Purohit.

 

The MAH CET 2020 will be conducted online in 47 cities across India on March 14 and 15, 2020 followed by Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in which the candidates will be allotted MBA seats in MAH CET participating colleges on the basis of their scores.

 

Competent Authority shall conduct the Online Computer Based Test MAH- MBA/MMS CET 2020 for admission to first year of full time Post Graduate Degree Courses in Management (MBA/MMS) in various institutes in Maharashtra, for academic year 2020-21.

 

The admissions to the following institutes will be based on the score of CET, provided they are approved and recognized by Government of Maharashtra and are affiliated to any of the non- agricultural University in Maharashtra State.
