FOUR, including three women, died while four others sustained critical injuries after a tractor they were travelling in overturned near Kodenar market on Thursday morning under Kodenar police station limits. Approximately, a dozen people were on the tractor out of which five sustained critical injuries while others sustained minor injuries.
 
As per police sources, the deceased have been identified as Jogo Ram (24), Kumari Mongadi (15), Kumari Sanaki (22) and Baitay (35), all residents of Dilmili Gram Panchayat. The critically injured Somari (62), Motali (23), Sushila (32) and Lakhmu (42 are under treatment at Jagdalpur medical college whereas Mungadi, Gendlal, Aayut and Podiya are under treatment at Kilepal Community Health Centre. According to information, a Mahindra tractor with nearly a dozen people on it was on way to Kodenar from Dilmili on Thursday morning.
 
When the tractor reached near Kodenar market, the driver lost control over the vehicle and resultantly, the tractor overturned, leaving one dead and eight critically injured. On receiving the information, Kodenar police reached the spot and rushed the injured to Kilepal Community Health Centre. The critically injured were further rushed to Jagdalpur medical college. However, the three critically injured also succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the hospital. All other injured are under treatment and further details are awaited, said police.
