Govt Advocate granted a week’s time to file report

IN THE matter related to the petitioner, wife of corpus, alleging respondents Station House Officer, Sohagpur Police Station, Hoshangabad district, Kamal Patel, Balram Patel and Sukhwati Bai have detained her husband, single bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court comprising Justice Subodh Abhyankar has given time to the Government Advocate to file status report before the court after a week. During the hearing, Government Advocate K N Bundela, Counsel for the respondent State, further sought one week’s time to comply with the order dated on February 13, 2020, passed by this court. Time was granted.
 
 
The single bench has listed the matter immediately after one week. Advocate Narendra Kumar Sharma appeared on behalf of the petitioner.
 
The single bench heard the habeas corpus petition filed by Vaishali Patel. In the previous hearing of the case, single bench had directed the counsel for the State to file status report by next hearing since the case of the petitioner is that respondents Station House Officer, Police Station Sohagpur, Hoshangabad district, Kamal Patel, Balram Patel and Sukhwati Bai have detained her husband. The Station House Officer (SHO) of the police station concerned had also directed to look into the complaint made by the petitioner and conveyed result to the Counsel appearing for the State.
