YASH Panhekar has taken over the charge of General Manager Telecom, BSNL Nagpur and he will be head of Nagpur Telecom District. A visionary person, known to be upright and efficient, BSNL has rightly handed over the reign of Nagpur Telecom District to him at a time when BSNL or entire telecom industry in the country is passing through a very difficult and challenging phase.

 

He was conferred state level award ‘Vishishta Sanchar Seva Padak’ for his outstanding works in Akola District in the year 2006. He is instrumental in setting up Defence Telecom Network (also called network for spectrum) in east MP area and Maharashtra state. Under his dynamic leadership, National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) was established in difficult areas of Chandrapur, Latur and Osmandabad districts.
