OWING to western disturbance developed over the region, climatic conditions of the city and adjoining areas have changed suddenly. Changed weather conditions have raised both day and night temperatures. Minimum temperature has increased to six degrees within a day. Since morning, clouds started hovering over the city and sun played hide and seek with clouds throughout the day. Cloudy conditions have increased both day and night temperatures to above normal. Southern winds blowing with moderate speed have added warmth in the weather. As western disturbance has weakened it has faded chances of heavy rains, but light to moderate rain may lash the city and adjoining areas in next 24 hours.
Minimum temperature on Friday was registered at 19.8 degrees Celsius, which was six degrees Celsius above normal. Similarly, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, which was also one degree above normal. Humidity in the morning was 57 per cent, while in the evening it was 49 per cent. Changed weather conditions have raised both day and night temperature of other major cities of the State. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature of 30.9 degrees Celsius which was two degrees above normal, while minimum temperature was 17.8 degrees Celsius which was also four degrees above normal. Likewise, Indore registered maximum temperature of 29.7 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature of 15.4 degrees Celsius, which was 2 degrees above normal. Gwalior had recorded maximum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius which was one degree above normal with minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees Celsius which was four degrees above normal. Weather Department informed that due to weakening of western disturbance, chances of heavy rainfall have diminished but light to moderate showers may lash the city and adjoining areas in next 24 hours. Weathermen said mercury will plummet again when city skies will get clear after departure of clouds and make weather chilly.
