STATE Home Minister Anil Deshmukh recently visited Andhra Pradesh and met their Chief Minister Y S Jagmohan Reddy to study implementation of ‘Disha Act’ in Andhar Pradesh whichseeksfast-trackcourtsand time bound delivery of offenses againstwomenandchildren,furthermore which awards death penalty. Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) had also recently requested State Governmenttoprepare a similar act for Maharashtra as the crime againstwomenandchildrenand growing countrywide and many are from our state too.
 
Appreciating the efforts of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to bring such a deterrent law on thismuchrequiredcrimes,adelegationofVTAledbyitsPresident Shrawankumar Malu met Home Minister and handed over memento of gratitude to the minister and also held discussion on the subject. TejinderSingh Renu,Secretary ofVTAsaid,“Wealsoneedhi-tech forensic labs for advanced DNA testingas ithasmanyadvantages over traditional serologic methods.
 
Nowadays criminals are smart who destroys evidences after crime which makes investigationweakdoesescapingfrom clutches law becomes easier for them. It's high time that we too get smarter with time and take our investigation to next level.” State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh thanked VTA for acknowledging his efforts. Present were Hemant Trivedi, Vice- President, Pawan Chopra, Treasurer, Rajesh Kanungo, JointSecretary,Surendra Jaiswal, Rohit Kanungo, Harmanjeet Singh Baweja, Pratish Gujarathi, Pankaj Roshan and Sharad Sonkule.
