2nd phase of Pension Scheme to be announced soon 
 
AS many as 530 superannuated executives and 1,453 non-executives of BSP would be covered under the first phase of SAIL Pension Scheme. The registration process for the pension scheme has already begun Employee Services Office in Bhilai. With announcement of pension scheme the superannuated BSP executives and non-executives on Monday visited Employee Services Office, Old Health Centre in Sector-5, Bhilai and collected and also deposited the forms with necessary formalities. The registration (in the first phase), under SAIL Pension Scheme for executives separated (Superannuated, Expired, Medical Unfit) between January 01, 2007 to March 31, 2013 and whose corpus (accumulated amount) is less than Rs 2 lakh has started from Monday at the office during 9 am to 5 pm during working days.
 
This facility will also be available for non-executives who separated (Superannuated, Expired, Medical Unfit) between January 01, 2012 to March 31, 2013. Rajeev Mehrotra, DGM (Employee Services), BSP informed that the beneficiaries must collect the forms and deposit the same after filling properly with copies of Aadhar Card, PAN Card, two cancelled bank account’s cheques. They shall deposit filled forms in two copies for sending one to finance department and other for office record. The superannuated executives and employees either opt for availing pension scheme benefits by depositing the balance amount or for withdrawal of the accumulated amount.
 
There is no provision of payment of arrears under the scheme. He informed that the online registration process would be brought in soon as considerable number of superannuated executives and non-executives have settled outside. The applicants will have to submit closure report with fresh bank account details in case of closure of old salary account. He added that the beneficiaries could also contact the office with any kind of queries or confusion in this context. Shahid Ahmed, General Secretary, Officers’ Association, BSP informed that the second phase of the pension would be announced soon and apart from this all the executives and non-executives, superannuated after March 31, 2013, would be covered in various phases under the pension scheme.
