RAIPUR,

A two-member team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital (BRAMH) to investigate a case of four suspected Naxal patients admitted in the Hospital for treatment in 2013. As per sources, CBI team interrogated the Hospital Superintendent Dr Vineet Jain in presence of Dr A Wasim and other senior doctors.

Details of the meeting weren’t revealed as the Hospital Superintendent could not be contacted over phone. However, talking to The Hitavada, Health Minister TS Singh Deo told that the team was here to investigate an old case, wherein four patients with bullet injuries underwent treatment in the hospital on 24th of May 2013. They sustained bullet injuries in chest and hands.

Three of the patients left the hospital same day while fourth was discharged next day. The team of CBI was here to investigate the matter which seemed to be suspicious to them. The Minister rebuffed the social media rumours that the team paid visit to investigate some financial discrepancy over purchase of medical equipments for BRAMH.
