29th National Congress of Veterinary Parasitology ends

The 29th National Congress of Veterinary Parasitology and National Symposium on the theme ‘Challenges and innovations in controlling parasitic diseases of livestock and poultry with changing climate’ concluded at College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, on Friday.
Chief guest on the occasion was Dr Govind Prasad Mishra who informed about challenges pertaining to anti-parasitic medicine resistance, parasitic vaccine development, global warming and other emerging challenges. Discussions and findings in the symposium will help to minimise parasitic exploitation on the level of farmers in Madhya Pradesh and entire country as well. Speaking on the occasion, NDVSU, Vice-chancellor, Dr. Prayag Datt Juyal expressed his gratitude towards Madhya Pradesh Government for sanctioning two dairy science and food technology colleges in the university and a veterinary polytechnic college in Mandla
district.
More than 300 scientists from different universities and colleges, administrative officers, educationists, professors and researchers participated in the three days symposium and presented their research papers in six technical sessions.
Special guests on the occasion were Dr Jitendra Jamdar, noted Orthopaedician and social worker, Gaura Dubey, Dr K Devada, President, IAAVP Society and Dr A Sagran, General Secretary, IAAVP Society and others. Guests released a souvenir of National Congress on parasitic control on national livestock and poultry. Dr V K Sahastrabuddhe, Dr M C Agrawal and Dr HOP Shrivastava were honoured by the society.
Dr Joyashi Jogi convened the programme, while Dr Giridhari Das proposed a vote of thanks.
