Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a jibe at the Congress over differences in the statementof different Ministers over paddy procurement.

Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik said that Chhattisgarh Government looks to be directionless as Chief Minister and Food Minister making contradictory statements on the issue.

Demanding an extension in the paddy procurement period, Dharamlal Kaushik pointed at the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel who demanded extension of the procurement period while Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat announced no extension whereas Health Minister T S Singhdeo spoke the same as CM.

The one month delay in procurement of paddy had already exposed the intention of the Chhattisgarh Government, which also tried to pass on the blame to Union Government when it came to giving Rs 2,500 per quintal MSP as promised by them in the election manifesto.
