Former Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice-President Dr Raman Singh has criticised Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel saying that there is a one man show government in State.

Accusing Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhupesh Baghel led Congress Government after several Cabinet Ministers gave different statements regarding extension of date for paddy procurement in State, Dr Singh claimed that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is taking one sided decision and the opinions and suggestions of Cabinet Ministers are not being taken into consideration.

“Everything is not happening well in the Congress Government so Panchayat and Rural Development Department Minister T S Singhdeo, State Congress President Mohan Markam and other Congress leaders are giving different statements on extension of date for paddy procurement. Cabinet Ministers are frustrated as they have no say in the government,” alleged Dr Singh.

The former Chief Minister said that during the previous BJP Government a system was developed for paddy procurement but the Congress Government destabilised the system and procedure for paddy procurement resulting in delays and non procurement even. Even the paddy collected is lying scattered at the paddy procurement centres of State. Gunny bags are not being supplied to the paddy procurement centres hence in most of the centres farmers are facing difficulty in selling paddy and the procurement centres are returning them. The unseasonal rains further vitiated the conditions, he added.

The BJP National Vice-President took a jibe at former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi, who gave tips to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for investment of multi-national companies in Chhattisgarh. Dr Singh claimed that Rahul Gandhi is opposing multi-national companies in Delhi and in contrary to it he is giving tips to Congress ruled-states for bringing in investment of multi-national companies.

Responding to a query on lack of farmer leaders in the BJP’s protest, Dr Singh said that he would raise the issue in the meeting of the party. The BJP leader said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel should clear his stand on Rs 1,000 crore scam in Social Welfare Department.
