A meeting of various health officers and representatives of private hospitals was organised at collectorate conference hall on Wednesday. Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sanjay Agrawal issued necessary directives for battling against Coronavirus. ADM Agrawal instructed all hospitals to make necessary arrangements to combat against the challenge posed by Coronavirus. These include constructing isolation ward, stocking necessary medicines for disinfection, identification of infected patients and proper arrangements for their treatment.
 
He also instructed for appointing appropriate number of doctors and paramedical staff at these isolation wards.The patients and their families at hospitals must also be informed about the necessary precautions against Coronavirus. The report about these preparations must be submitted to Chief Medical and Health Officer within two days. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr BB Borde said that a healthy person need not wear masks. Those suffering from common cold and cough may use normal surgical masks in order to prevent infection among others. N- 95 masks are required only by the patients suffering from Coronavirus and the doctors treating them.
 
He also added that several rumours regarding Coronavirus are circulating in the market, encouraging black marketing of masks and sanitisers. He also appealed to shopkeepers for avoiding hoarding or black marketing of masks. He also said that any person who has visited Corona-affected areas must get himself tested at health centre. Collector Kiran Kaushal has appealed to people for extending cooperation in combating the disease. She said that information about any person arriving from foreign countries or other states must be given to doctors at District Hospital. State Government has issued a toll-free number 104, and people may report such people on this number.
