DISTRICT Collector Tarun Pithode has ordered to keep all the restaurants, wine shops, Krishi Upaj mandis, bars, dhabas and other roadside eateries closed from Saturday in the State capital. After four suspects of COVID-19 tested positive in Jabalpur, the district administration has chosen the city shutdown. As coronavirus knocks the door of Madhya Pradesh, Collector Tarun Pithode has appealed the citizens to avoid unnecessary gatherings and to come out of their houses only in emergency situations. Pithode has instructed to close all the places through which the COVID-19 coronavirus can spread.
 
He has also directed the Food and Drugs Administration to ensure that hands of each person entering the hotels and restaurants should be washed properly table, chairs must be sanitised. Collector has also instructed Bhopal Municipal Corporation to ensure sanitisation of all the hotels and the nearby areas.The ATMs must be sanitised three to four times a day and that each person should wash his hands before entering the ATM machines. Collector has also urged the citizens to take extra care of the elderly people and that of the children too. 
 
City buses remain non-operational on March 22 THE low-floored city buses operated by Bhopal City Link Limited will remain non-operational on March 22 following the appeal of Janta curfew as announced by PM Narendra Modi 
 
Don’t spread and believe rumours Collector has also appealed citizens not to spread fake news over the COVID-19 coronavirus, else strict actions will be taken against the concerned. 
 
Ban on exploitation of drinking water To avoid any situation of water scarcity in urban areas of Berasia Tehsil, SDM Ashish Sangwan has banned water harvesting within 100mtr radius of reservoirs in villages under Section-144. Under the CM’s Urban Drinking Water Scheme, the water conserved in Virhai reservoir is supplied for the use of drinking water in Berasia.The farmers of Virhashyamkheri, Pipaliya Hasnabad, Khejdagopi, Laloi and Chapadiya villages illegally use the water of this reservoir to harvest their crops. In his orders, the SDM has imposed a ban on water exploitation within 100mtr radius of reservoirs.The above order was aimed at ensuring summer drinking water supply.
